A non-profit organization with a commitment to serving BIPOC & historically marginalized youth, nXu (short for nexus) offers a Comprehensive SEL and College & Career Readiness Solution that helps young people connect with who they are, explore who they want to become, and invest in pathways for personal and professional success. Our dynamic, research-based middle and high school curriculum places purpose development at the nexus of career exploration, social-emotional practices, positive identity development, and community building. We at nXu have established a comprehensive partnership model with schools and youth organizations nationwide with a CASEL-approved middle and high school curriculum, as well as a validated assessment system, expert implementation support, and best-in-class educator training & development, nXu supports educators to integrate their curriculum into the fabric of their schools.

Boston Private Industry Council

Local

The Boston Private Industry Council (PIC) is the city’s workforce development board and a school-to-career intermediary that connects students and job seekers to meaningful career pathways. Partnering with Boston Public Schools, employers, community organizations, and higher education institutions, the PIC helps young people explore careers, secure paid work experiences, and transition successfully to postsecondary education and employment. For adults, the PIC strengthens the workforce system, expands access to training, and aligns employer needs with talent pipelines. Through these efforts, the PIC works to build a more inclusive, skilled, and economically vibrant Boston where residents can advance and employers can thrive.
